Jan joined the planning team at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2016. She has worked as the facilities planner on a number of major capital projects for the Leeds School of Business, the College of Engineering and Applied Science, and for the School of Education. She is currently the campus planner for the Hellems Arts and Sciences and Mary Rippon Theater Renovation, a project that reinvents a 100-year-old building as a new hub for humanities with a student-first design process. Prior to joining CU Boulder’s facility management team, Jan worked for Bread Loaf Corporation, a design-build firm in Vermont, was Chief Architect for the City of Boston Division of Neighborhood Development and practiced architecture in Portland, Maine. She has held academic positions at Montana State University, Ball State University, and UNLV. Jan received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho, Moscow.
